What you're about to read is a collection of pointers to some of the music I've discovered on the iTunes Music Store, music I like enough that I want to share it. If you're an iPod owner and an iTunes fan (and if you aren't, what are you doing here?), maybe you'll find something new. Click on any of the CD covers to bounce over to the store and sample a few tracks. And then maybe stop by my other blog for a few well chosen words (and maybe a random snark or two).RSS feed

Love Their Country / Me First and the Gimme Gimmes
Sacrilege! But in a good way, at least if you come by your reverence via the ir- prefix. What we have here is a punk band doing a number on a set of classic (but not in the sense of my last review) country tunes. To hear John Denver's Annie's Song get punked is either horrifying, listenable or just very, very funny. (Maybe all three at once.) And the number they do on Kenny Rogers' She Believes In Me is no more than it (or he) deserves. As for their take on Smokey And The Bandit, well, I wouldn't mind seeing that version of the movie.
